How can I learn more about Questico?
We recommend you take a short Tour to give you an initial insight into how Questico works.
How do I become a user?
Simply visit our registration page. There we will ask you for your full name, e-mail address and telephone number. Here you will also choose a user name and your own password.
Note: Your personal data is naturally treated in strict confidence.
Can I use Questico even with only one telephone number?
If you only have one telephone number, you must terminate the online connection before your call. As soon as you are offline, Questico will set up the connection to your contact.
It is easier for those with ISDN lines, as they have several telephone numbers and can make a telephone call and use the Internet at the same time.

Why do you actually need my telephone number?
We need your telephone number in order to set up the connection to other Questico members. If, for example, you find a contact of interest and click the 'Call Now' icon next to the relevant user name, we can connect you directly to each other without disclosing anyone's telephone numbers.
Do I have to sign in as a user every time?
You must always sign in when you want to retrieve your personal data. You can, of course, view our subject areas and categories any time and without signing in.

User names
How do I choose a user name?
As your user name, you can use your real name or one you have made up yourself. If creating a made-up name you can base it on , for exampleyour hobbies, specialist fields or areas of interest.
Your user name is very important for using Questico. You need it to enter our sections, to get to know other users, and to communicate. In short, all activities are carried out under your user name!
Your user name will be visible on some of our pages. If you want to use your real name, please reuser that it will be made public to all our other users.
Can my user name be modified by Questico?
Questico will not modify your user name without consulting you, but we do reserve the right to block or remove your data if there is reasonable suspicion or infringement of the conditions of use.
What do I do if I feel harassed or offended by another user name?
In this case, we would be grateful if you drew our attention to it at fairness@questico.co.uk, as Questico does not allow any obscenities, insults, swear words or similar in user names.

Password
How do I choose a password?
If you become a user, you must choose a password. You need this password to sign in with Questico and access your Questico account. In principle, you can choose any word for your password - a town, animal, name or made-up word - as long as it means something to you so you can reuser it.
I have forgotten my password, what should I do?
If you have forgotten your password, we will be happy to send you a new one. Please go to "Log In" on the top navigation bar and then click "Forgot your password?" This opens up a window where you can ask for a new password by e-mail.
Note: You can modify your password on your own info page under My Account on the top navigation bar.

Questico Mail
What is Questico Mail?
Through Questico Mail, you can send any user of the Questico community a message free of charge at any time. The advantage: When Questico Mail is transmitted, the addressee only finds out your user name, and not your actual e-mail address. This is to protect your privacy.
How do I send Questico Mail?
You can send Questico Mail by clicking ''Questico Mail'' on the top navigation bar and then Create Message. There a window will open in which you enter the recipient's user name, your user name and a subject. After you have finished writing your message, simply click ''Send''.

How do I read Questico Mail?
To read a Questico e-mail you have received, click ''Questico Mail'' on the top navigation bar and then ''Mailbox''.
How do I know I have received a Questico e-mail?
When another user sends you a Questico e-mail it will be automatically forwarded to you. You will receive notification of e-mails that incur charges. Make sure that you give the correct e-mail address when registering, so that messages can reach you.
What are attachments to Questico e-mails?
With each Questico e-mail you can send up to 10 attachments of up to 1 MB in total disk space. Attachments are not forwarded automatically, but the recipient is notified by e-mail. Attachments are automatically deleted after a month. Please check attachments for viruses. Questico does not accept any responsibility for virus-infected attachments. File names of attachments must not contain any special characters.

What is ''My Account''?
''My Account'' contains all your personal information and entries. You reach this page by clicking the ''My Account'' link on the My Questico page.
Once you have registered, in ''My Account'' you can

retrieve the status of your Questico account and check your account movements

see your current activities and those of the past months

update or correct your personal data

amend or delete your entries
Does anybody other than me have access to ''My Account''?
No. Your personal details/data are private and with Questico are always protected by your password from being accessed. As long as you do not tell anybody your password your personal data will be safe.
How can I amend my telephone number or personal details?
Just click ''Amend Personal Data'' on the navigation bar of your ''My Account'' page. From there we take you to the page which contains your personal data, including your name, telephone number and e-mail address. Once you have amended your details just click ''Update Now''.
What happens with my payment information?
You have access to your credit card or current account data and can make changes at any time such as changing your credit card or current account (for direct debits). To do this click ''My Account'' and then on ''Account Status''.
Why do you need the payment information?
When you have used your initial credit, you will need your credit card or current account (in the case of direct debits) to pay the advisors. Under My Account on the top navigation bar in the ''Account Status'' submenu, you can see an overview of your telephone calls and the costs accured in the current month.
At the end of each call we automatically debit the call costs from your credit card or current account.
Security Note: Our software guarantees a high standard of security for commercial transactions. It encrypts your credit card number or account number (in the case of direct debits), your name and your address so that your data cannot be read and subsequently abused when transferred via the Internet.

What do I do if I only have one telephone line?
You can make or receive calls without difficulty even if you only have one telephone line. However, you must terminate the online connection before Questico calls you back.
To make a call through Questico:
1. Back up your data in applications that use the Internet and then close these applications.
2. Find your contact, then click the ''Call Now'' icon. The prompt to terminate your online connection will now appear on your screen.
3. You have 30 seconds to terminate your online connection.
4. Questico will now call you directly and ask you to accept the call by pressing a button.
5. If you are actually offline, your telephone will ring - the connection is established.
6. If your Internet connection has not been terminated, Questico cannot contact you, as the telephone line is busy.
